How the scenario works
Scope reduction = selected-basis scope total × reduction percentage. Remaining footprint = entered baseline − combined reduction. The target gap compares these annual reductions with your percentage target. Scope 2 uses the basis selected in the ledger.
Simple payback = upfront investment ÷ annual net savings. Indicative cost per tonne = (investment ÷ investment life − annual net savings) ÷ annual reduction. This uses straight-line annualisation with no discount rate, taxes, financing, degradation or carbon-credit revenue. Results assume recurring annual reductions and savings. Review interactions and feasibility before investment decisions. No offsets are subtracted.

The 15 Scope 3 categories
Names identify accounting categories, not an instruction to add every activity to Scope 3. Your ownership, control, transactions and reporting boundary determine classification. Banking investments, freight, business travel and waste need category-specific methods.
Choose an appropriate emission factor
Match the factor to the activity unit, geography, period and calculation boundary. Record the source table, year or version, greenhouse gases and GWP basis. A grid factor, fuel-combustion factor and lifecycle factor can cover different boundaries. Avoid overlapping estimates.
For Pakistan electricity, obtain a supported factor appropriate to your inventory year and location-based or market-based method. The workspace deliberately leaves factor values blank. It does not invent a national default or use a foreign grid factor as Pakistan data.
Data handling and limitations
All workspace calculations, imports and exports run in your browser. “Save on this device” stores a snapshot in this browser profile. Further edits require saving again. Download a JSON backup before switching browser or device. Removing the saved copy leaves your current session intact.
This tool provides no server-side accounts, shared supplier portal, independent assurance, immutable audit trail, automatic regulatory filing or AI recommendations. A downloaded document is a working brief, not a completed sustainability report. CESGOB’s existing weather, maps and data services may use external providers, separately from this local workspace.
